Director of Communications and Office Manager

Messiah UMC is a vibrant congregation in Springfield, VA, seeking an innovative and creative communications professional who can also take a leadership role in the coordination of the office and ministries of our church community. The primary focus of this role is to create a content strategy that engages church and community members in church activities, mission work, and outreach projects. This role will lead the design of social media and email campaigns to inform and educate internal and external audiences. As office manager, this role will assume responsibility for maintaining church records, coordinating publication of church communications, and handle office logistics. This role will require a candidate who is positive, inventive, proactive, and efficient. The position is full-time with benefits and opportunities for occasional work from home. Director of Children's Ministry

Messiah UMC is seeking a faith-filled, caring, and innovative leader to develop and implement a Children's Ministry Plan for Messiah's growing Children's program. The Director of Children’s Ministry oversees programming that provides for faith development in young people from infancy to 6^th grade empowering them to form a strong relationship with Jesus Christ. The Director will have a significant role in establishing and executing the Children’s Ministry Plan in coordination with the Pastors, Staff, Laity and Youth Council.  This role is part-time with flexible hours during the week.
