CEP Frequently Asked Questions
- Does my child need to be potty trained to attend CEP?
Potty training is only required in our 4 year old classrooms. The remaining classes (3 years and younger) do not have a requirement that children be potty trained. Each of our classrooms has a bathroom (with a child sized toilet) and sink.
- What is your policy for sickness?
In order to ensure the safety of our students, all children need to be fever free (without the use of medication) and no vomiting or diarrhea for at least 24 hours prior to returning to CEP. If a child develops symptoms while at school, he/she will stay with the director and parents will be notified to come and pick up. Please use the ProCare app or call 70-560-3033 to notify CEP if your child will be absent. All students must complete a health form and have all current vaccinations upon enrollment.
- My child has allergies, will he/she be safe at CEP?
CEP is a nut free school and will work with parents to accommodate any other childhood allergies to the best of our abilities. All of our staff is CPR and First Aid certified and there is always at least one staff member present certified in Medication Administration Training.
- When is tuition due and how do I pay?
Tuition is due on the first of each month (September through April) and not later than the 10th. Payments can be made via cash or check and dropped off in the CEP red tuition box or online via the ProCare App with credit/debit card (a 2.85% + $.30 fee added on) or bank transfer (a .6% fee added on).
- Is there a late fee if tuition is no paid by the due date?
CEP charges a $10 late fee for payments made after the 10th of the month. We will also charge a fee for late pick up. Please see our CEP parent handbook.
- Does CEP close for Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) teacher workdays and holidays?
NOT ALWAYS, CEP follows FCPS's calendar for major breaks like Fall Break, Thanksgiving, Winter Break and Spring Break, BUT will remain open on many teacher workdays/religious observances. For more information a detailed calendar is distributed at the beginning of each school year. For the 2025-2026 school year, CEP will be OPEN on Sept 9, Sept 23, Oct 2, Oct 20, Nov 11, Feb 17, Mar 20 and April 10.
- What is CEP's inclement weather policy?
When FCPS have either a 1 or 2 hour delay, CEP will open 1 hour late (at 11:00 am with NO Before Care). If FCPS is closed for the entire day, CEP will be closed. If FCPS close early, CEP will also close early with NO After Care. Parents will be notified via the ProCare app and email of any closures.
